My name is Paola Gargiulo, licensed tour guide and hiking guide working in the Region Campania.
I speak fluently English, Spanish, and I have a good command of French, and a basic knowledge of Portuguese.
I am very glad to welcome you to my country and to introduce you to my spectacular land.
Working as a professional tour guide for so many years I had been meeting people from all over the world. I often led mixed groups of different ages, nationalities and background. I can say that I learned secrets on how make my guests content.
I became more aware on how important everything can be, even those little things that usually taken for granted. I like to share with my guests not only the details they can easily find on the books, but also legends, stories, and aspects of daily life.
I like to talk with my guests, and I really care to make them happy. I developed a high degree of flexibility to deal quickly with unusual requests. And I like to make the tours customized.
CAMPANIA REGION
No doubt Italy is a beautiful country, and I am even luckier to live in Campania region, specifically in the the Sorrentine Peninsula. I was born and bred here.
I grew up looking at beautiful landscapes and enjoying the beaches and the blue sea. This gave me the opportunity to find a nice job, and to understand how precious is this area under a tourist point of view.
The pensinsula is a place really blessed, the weather is almost always sunny, winter and summer temperature is never so extreme. The vegetation is lush and green. We have several fields with lemons, oranges, olives, grapevines, and of course we export these products. And we learned that many visitors are attracted by our culinary traditions: fresh cheese, vegetables, tomatoes, pizzas, pasta, gelatos, wine, and limoncello!
Sorrento is also a safe heaven, there is no criminality, and is close to the main tourist destinations like: Capri island, Positano and the Amalfi coast, the archeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, Naples, the Royal Palace of Caserta.
